In a track and field athletics arena of Artemovsk passed the championship of Ukraine on sumo: on a tatami fought for possibility of participation in the European championship of 240 participants from 13 areas of the country age from 12 to 16 years.

At a ceremonial opening присутстововали President of the European and Ukrainian federation on sumo Sergey Korobko and head of department concerning physical culture and sports of Donetsk regional administration Vladimir Mytsyk. The glorified sumoist told that events in the country concerned directly federation which lost recently completed base in the Crimea, and the long-awaited European championship which had to take place in Alushta, transferred to Warsaw.

Competitions took place in rigid fight, but the benevolent atmosphere. Participants, many of which for the first time appeared in Artemovsk and in Donbass as a whole, remained are happy.

-  I was impressed by stadium and an arena.  And still - level of local athletes.  Athletes lose either because of mistakes, or because of self-confidence.  I already thought that won, and it turned out that the local guy beat me, - the owner of "bronze" Sergey Pyrlikas, Energodar admitted to the Zaporozhye area.  His rival, Andrey Nogin from Kleshcheevk's village of the Artyomovsky area, became the second and received the permit to the European championship.

Audience whom on an arena was much, were surprised with symmetry of young sumoist, their build differed, for example, from the invoice of one of judges of the championship - the most known sumoistka of Ukraine of Olga Korobko.
