– Anatoly, is necessary to you a duel with Mahomed Ismailov, whose track record is much more modest than yours. What do you know about the rival how you estimate his forces?
– I don't create illusions concerning Mahomed. I saw its fights, I know that he is the champion of Russia and Europe on MMA among fans and I consider him as very serious opponent. He very well fights, surely feels in shock equipment. Therefore to count on simple fight it isn't necessary. As for statistics of its fights, small their amount shouldn't mislead. All begin with something.
– Any plan for the forthcoming fight is drawn already up?
– While we still work over it, but I preferred to speak about plans after fight.
– How your preparation is under construction?
– Now we carry out collecting in Derbent, daily two trainings. We work over shock equipment and fight and, of course, over functional preparation.
– Who prepares you, whether you test a shortcoming in a sparring partners?
– Vitaly Semenovich Bondarenko, and a sparring of partners trains much, it wouldn't be desirable to allocate someone especially. However, similar on a manner of conducting fight on the forthcoming rival, unfortunately, isn't present. It constantly passes in feet and seeks to transfer fight to orchestra seats, and would prefer to work with it in a rack.
– How easy to you to receive information on the rival and how it is important for you during preparation?
– If there is information on the Internet, difficulties with obtaining information don't arise. Another matter if the rival carried out few fights, they aren't laid out on sites. But, the main thing, in my opinion, most is correct to be adjusted on fight and to adhere to recommendations of the trainer.
– How there was your way to the mixed single combats?
– Seriously I started going in for sports late enough, at 15-year age when studied already in the 9th class and lived in Tobolsk. Together with schoolmates we registered in sports club "Sibiryak" in army hand-to-hand fight to trainer Andrey Mikhaylovich Sabarov.
– You grew in a sports family?
– No, I so wouldn't tell. From my three brothers only the younger is engaged rather seriously, executed the standard of the candidate for the master of sports for hand-to-hand fight and judo, is engaged in boxing.
– How got acquainted with mix fight?
– Being engaged in hand-to-hand fight, I several times came on collecting to St. Petersburg when still there was a Red Devil club. Here, actually, also got acquainted with the mixed fights. In Kolomna, in due time, were going to create MMA club, collected rukopashnik, invited also me. There I stayed about half a year and from Kolomna went to Red Devil. I continued to act on hand-to-hand fight and at the same time I started acting in tournaments on панкратиону.
– When carried out the first fight to MMA?
– By rules of the mixed single combats I carried out the first fight on November 3, 2009 in St. Petersburg on the M-1 Selection 9 tournament. It was rating fight with Anatoly Vintovkin. I lost in the first round, but the rival was tired, and in the second round I managed to win a technical knockout.
– How many all fights in the mixed single combats you carried out and with what results?
– On official statistics my result 7-1, and more than others was remembered the last duel in Moscow in M-1 Fighter ending on December 16 last year with Yury Shchurov against whom I won according to the decision of judges after the fourth additional round. I had to carry out for the first time four rounds on a ring, and I finished fight with the last bit of strength. And, of course, fight which I lost a knockout to Mahomed Magomedkerimov on the League S-70 tournament - Russian Championship First Round in December, 2011 was remembered. I had quite big break in fights and I probably overestimated the forces, was too self-confident.
– Now you act only in the mixed single combats or you manage to participate and in other tournaments?
– Earlier I acted in tournaments on hand-to-hand fight, панкратиону, to fighting sambo, and lately concentrated the main efforts on the mixed single combats.
