On March 31 in the Finnish city of Vantaa the General Assembly of the European committee of the wrestling (CELA), preceding the European championship according to the manumission, female and Greco-Roman wrestling took place. Details of WRESTRUS.RU were reported by the head of the FILA working group "Wrestling-2020", the vice-president of CELA Georgy Bryusov.

 Participation of the European federations in further transformation of wrestling became the central theme of Assembly of CELA, - Georgy Bryusov told.  -  Unfortunately, the president of the International federation of wrestling (FILA) Nenad Lalovich because of problems with health couldn't arrive to Finland, but all the same took part in meeting by means of a videoconference.  He told leaders of the European federations of wrestling about a meeting of the management of FILA and FSBR with the president of Russia Vladimir Putin who has taken place in Sochi on the eve of the Winter Olympic Games-2014.  Nenad Lalovich especially underlined words of the president of Russia that wrestling needs to be advanced correctly, using modern possibilities of media.  The forthcoming signing of the contract of FILA with Eurosport becomes one of achievements in this direction.

I submitted the report both on behalf of group“Wrestling-2020”, and at the request of FSBR.  It was declared preparation of new system of transitions and naturalization of wrestlers which will allow to simplify system of change of sports nationality, but in too time to make it transparent and fair.  FSBR expressed readiness to give financial support of FILA in implementation of the World plan of wrestling, but also the report on an expenditure of means the former management of FILA demanded.  Also FSBR presented a new format of the Cup of the European nations which traditionally in November will be accepted by Moscow.  Now in it besides the European teams two strongest national teams of other world will take part in each of disciplines.  The ALROSA company which has founded a prize fund in a ruble equivalent of 100 thousand dollars became the general partner of KENA.

The general Assembly of CELA accepted the statement for support of activity of the new management of FILA on modernization of wrestling and Nenad Lalovich's candidate to a position of the president of FILA. Elections will take place on the congress of FILA which will pass in September in Tashkent on the eve of the World Cup. CELA also noted a contribution of the“Wrestling-2020”working group to wrestling preservation in the Olympic program. Questions of a calendar and other hot topics were in addition discussed. In particular, France expressed interest to hold the World Cup in wrestling of 2017 in Paris, and the representative of Ukraine Dina Harenko was unanimously elected in CELA executive committee.
