The past weekend brought together fans of classical and free-style wrestling of different age in Kohtla-Jarve

In the sports House on Saturday by 34 times passed traditional competitions in Greco-Roman wrestling of memory of the known wrestler Avo Talpas. On Sunday morning their participants and veterans of sports by tradition visited Avo Talpas's grave and assigned wreaths and flowers to his monument.

And at this time in the Kokhtla-Yarvesky house of sports the first stage of Estonian youth serial competition on free-style wrestling of Nublust Nabiks opened. 140 young athletes of 1999 year of birth participated in them and are younger. The club the Golden Bear whom Alexey Hapov – the senior free-style wrestling coach of Estonia directs organized competitions. According to him, support in carrying out these competitions is given by a municipal government of Kohtla-Jarve and Kultuurkapital fund.

A youth series of competitions consists of five stages. Children of fifteen years and more young, fight at five competitions, scoring points. On these competitions, as well as on Avo Talpas's memorial, there arrived participants from Lithuania, Latvia, Finland and Estonia.

One of trainers who brought the pupils from Tallinn, Igor Konstantinovich Kruglyakov – the repeated champion of Estonia on free-style wrestling. The veteran of sports was 76 years old.

The right to open competitions, was provided to the mayor of Kohtla-Jarve Evgeny Solovyov. And the deputy Riygikogu Valery Korba organizers asked to hand over memorable awards to athletes whom Estonian federation of free-style wrestling called the best wrestlers in the age categories.

Such award was received by the champion of Estonia from Kohtla-Jarve Ksenia Skiller. She not only helped to judge competitions, but also supported the younger brother Kirill who on Sunday came to a wrestling mat and won against the rival.

I judged competitions together with skilled judges and Gleb Vinokurov – the wrestler to whom the Federation award also was handed over. It was "privatized" at once by Gleb's younger little sister – the Victoria which was brought on competitions by mother.

Irina, Gleb and Victoria's mother, says that gave the son to be engaged in free-style wrestling seven years ago, and is happy that he achieved sports progress. According to her, a payment for occupations of the son by sports - purely symbolical, it on force to any family. To needy and large families clubs allow a discount.
